Reporting on the Norwegian Transparency Act

Reporting on the Norwegian Transparency Act

Our Responsibility and Commitment

Elaway AS is committed to responsible business conduct that respects fundamental human rights and promotes decent working conditions. This is not only a reflection of our values, but also a legal obligation under the Norwegian Transparency Act (Åpenhetsloven).

The Act requires larger enterprises in Norway to conduct regular due diligence assessments and publicly report on how they address actual and potential negative impacts on people across their operations and supply chains. Elaway meets the statutory thresholds and is therefore publishing its first report by June 30, 2025.

About Elaway

Elaway delivers electric vehicle charging infrastructure to housing communities in Norway and several European markets. This report focuses on our Norwegian operations. We collaborate with both national and international suppliers, especially in the fields of hardware production, installation services, and software development.

How We Work with Human Rights and Working Conditions

In accordance with the Act, Elaway has established a due diligence framework based on the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. Our process includes:

  • Embedding policies such as our Procurement Policy and Code of Conduct.
  • Identifying risks among suppliers and partners with the greatest impact.
  • Implementing measures to address and prevent adverse outcomes.
  • Continuous monitoring through internal supplier audits (“Annual Wheel”).
  • Internal training, including a digital module on the Transparency Act for all employees.

We require our largest installer partners and hardware suppliers to comply with:

  • Elaway’s Ethical Guidelines for Suppliers
  • Responsible Procurement Policy (RPP)
  • Compliance Agreement – Norwegian Transparency Act

All governance documents are developed in line with international standards, including the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and ILO Core Conventions .

Summary of Risks and Actions Taken

So far, Elaway has not identified actual negative impacts requiring remedial actions. However, we acknowledge potential risks related to working conditions in production and subcontracted installation work. We have taken the following steps:

  • Strengthened supplier selection and control procedures,
  • Implemented mandatory compliance documentation,
  • Established formal procedures for escalation and remediation in case of violations.

Right to Information

According to Section 6 of the Transparency Act, any person may request information about how Elaway addresses actual and potential adverse impacts related to human rights and working conditions in its products and services.

During 2025 and 2026, Elaway will implement the same due diligence processes across its other European markets. The experience gained in Norway will serve as the foundation for strengthening transparency and responsible business practices throughout our value chain.
